ArmInfo. No panic in Artsakh over Azerbaijan's actions - blockade of the Stepanakert-Goris road, which connects Armenia to Artsakh, Artsakh State Minister Ruben Vardanyan said in a Facebook message.
The country has been blockaded over 48 hours, but the people are ready for struggle. "I am inspired. I am proud and I am side by side with you. I will be live every morning to answer questions arousing citizens' concern. It is necessary for you to get information from us, not by hearsay - especially since the enemy is using various ways of spreading panic," he said.
A number of key issues are on the agenda, and that of fuel is a priority.
"We do not know how long this blockader may continue and how much time it will take to deliver fuel to Artsakh. This is the reason for the saving mode incumbent on all," Mr Vadranyan said.
Fuel will primarily be supplied to special services as well as to citizens in urgent cases. The process will be transparent.
Mr Vardanyan also highlighted the problem of families. "In some cases, children are in Armenia and their parents are in Artsakh. I can assure you that we are sparing no effort to ensure good conditions for them. I am grateful to the Goris mayor for doing his best to solve Artsakh children's problems," Mr Vardanyan said.
As regards the Russian peacekeepers' activities, he said:
"We are aware of the problems they are face with. But we insist that their activities be transparent and aimed to ensure the security of the local population, free movement to Armenia and vice versa. The situation remains tense, and any provocations are possible. It is most important not to succumb to them and go on living and working. We are working and intend to do our best for this situation to be settled to our advantage," Mr Vardanyan said.
