ArmInfo.Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the "Armenia" opposition faction Ishkhan Saghatelyan calls to urgently convene an extraordinary meeting of the National Assembly to adopt a statement on the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan.
<For more than a day now, 120,000 of our compatriots of Artsakh have been in blockade. Since yesterday, the world offices of the ARF- Dashnaktsutyun party have been presenting the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan to the international community," the MP wrote on his Facebook page.
He recalled that today the National Assembly of Artsakh convened an extraordinary session and issued an appeal to all Armenians, in which it called on them to use every opportunity to speak out at various platforms about the humanitarian catastrophe caused by Azerbaijan in Artsakh, stand up for the rights of Artsakh Armenians and be ready necessary steps in this direction.
<In the near future, it is necessary to hold protests in front of the embassies of Azerbaijan and Turkey in various countries of the world, to hold protests in front of international representations in Armenia. Today, December 13, at 16:00 we are gathering in front of the UN office building. Then we will send letters to the embassies of France, Russia and the USA. It is also necessary to urgently hold an extraordinary meeting of the RA National Assembly to adopt a statement condemning the genocidal actions of Azerbaijan. We are working in these three areas, which will be reported later>, the MP noted.
On December 12 at 10:30 am, a group of Azerbaijanis in civilian clothes blocked the Stepanakert-Goris highway, again "for environmental reasons." Armenian telegram channels have already identified agents of the special services of Azerbaijan among the so-called ecologists. The Azerbaijanis are behaving loosely, trying to provoke Russian peacekeepers, and have set up a tent on the only road linking Artsakh with Armenia. The road remains closed to this day. The so-called Azerbaijani environmentalists, who were photographed with the symbol of the "Gray Wolves" of Turkish ultra-nationalists, said they would remain on the road until the arrival of the commander of the peacekeeping contingent, Andrei Volkov. It should be noted that the Armenian authorities reacted to the situation only today by noon. The Premier convened a meeting of the Security Council, and the Foreign Ministry issued a statement. Even the HRD of Armenia responded just one day later, after serious criticism of the body by the citizens. All international organizations - defenders of the protection of human rights - are also silent. So it turns out that there are still double standards in the protection of human rights, and humanism is determined by the color of the skin ... And someone remains unpunished for aggression and terrorism because energy resources are still more expensive than "blood of Armenians".
We add that the first provocations by the so-called environmentalists began on December 3 with the blocking of the Lachin corridor connecting Artsakh with Armenia. Over the past week, the enemy side periodically undertook various kinds of provocations both against the Russian peacekeepers in the NKR and against the civilian population. And already on December 10, a group of Azerbaijanis tried to get into two mines operating in the NKR, however, the Karabakh people did not allow the enemies to get into the mines.
