


ArmInfo.The EU is aware of the various developments around the Lachin corridor since December 3, EU Foreign Policy Spokesman Peter Stano said in response to an inquiry by the Public TV of Armenia.
"The EU is aware of the various developments around the Lachin corridor since 3 December. We are also closely following today's developments.
"The EU has no presence in Karabakh that would allow us have a better understanding of the situation, but we do follow the numerous Armenian and Azerbaijani reports from open sources. We are also in contact with officials, both in Armenia and Azerbaijan.
"The EU reiterates its calls for restraint in actions and avoidance of inflammatory rhetoric.
"The EU also expresses the hope that much-needed talks on the rights and security of the Armenian population of Karabakh would come to fruition and allow diffusing tensions," he said.
