ArmInfo.During the four years of being in power, the property of many representatives of the current government has noticeably increased. MP from the "Armenia" opposition faction Agnes Khamoyan stated this to journalists on December 9.
She noted that the more than noticeable growth of prosperity of representatives of the current government is also evidenced by the declarations they submitted on property and income. The MP noted that earlier, being in opposition, these people, and especially the current Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, spoke a lot about corruption in power and corrupt deals. <But, having come to power, in just a few years they became noticeably rich, accumulating considerable property, and the question arises of how a person receiving wages became the owner of mansions and cars. In addition, they declare funds for several million. "Changes in their lives are obvious, to which, in response to the demands of society to give intelligible answers, the same representatives of the current government, headed by Pashinyan, cannot give a proper answer," Khamoyan noted.
She pointed to the property of MP from the ruling "Civil Contract" faction, former Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan, who acquired huge property, including a large fish farm, and his wife, who heads a private company, won large tenders.
The MP also recalled the criticism from Nikol Pashinyan, when he was in opposition, about purchases from one person, without holding tenders, but today the number of such transactions has increased significantly. Huge financial resources (115 million drams, and 60 million drams - ed. note) were allocated to the New Year's decoration of Yerevan alone, without any tender. As Khamoyan noted, there are a huge number of such examples. Authorities indicate the urgency and relevance of the problem as justification for procurement from a single person.
