Russian Foreign Ministry: U.S. and France themselves stopped activity  of "troika" of co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group

ArmInfo. The United States and France themselves stopped the activity  of the "troika" of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group on the settlement of the Karabakh  conflict. This was stated on December 8 at a weekly briefing by the  official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria  Zakharova, answering the question of why Moscow, Paris and Washington  cannot work together on the Karabakh settlement issue.

<Foreign Minister of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov has already  given an assessment, including the activities of the OSCE Minsk  Group. Since its co-chairs, Washington and Paris, refusin to  cooperate with Moscow in February of this year under a far-fetched  pretext, "buried" it as an international platform>, Zakharova said.

She added that in the context of the disruption of cooperation  between Russia and the West, the Geneva discussions on security and  stability in the Transcaucasus, where the problems of Georgia are  discussed, were no exception as well.
