ArmInfo. The parties may submit complaints, suggestions or demands within the framework of agreements that have been reached, documented and known to all. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan stated this on December 7 during a government hour in Parliament, commenting at the request of one of the deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on the closure of the Stepanakert-Goris road by the Azerbaijani side, which was done allegedly for "environmental reasons".
Mirzoyan stressed that the closure of the Lachin corridor would be a gross violation of the November 9 tripartite statement. He recalled that as a result of negotiations with the command of the Russian peacekeeping unit, the issue was quickly resolved. The minister noted that the situation is rather fragile, many issues are still not resolved, and new demands may only lead to an aggravation of the situation. "Whether this is done intentionally or not is another matter," he said.
It should be reminded that on December 3, Azerbaijanis blocked the Stepanakert-Goris road connecting Artsakh with Armenia under a fictitious pretext related to the exploitation of mineral resources in the NKR. These actions of enemy forces run counter to the trilateral commitments made by Azerbaijan in the framework of the tripartite statement of November 9, 2020.
