ArmInfo. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev continues attacks on France.
The leadership of Azerbaijan, which had a hard time accepting the resolution of the French Senate, in which there is a call to impose sanctions on official Baku, did not come up with anything better than to accuse France of provocation against Azerbaijan on the sidelines of Francophonie.
"As part of the summit of the Francophonie countries, a provocation was planned against Azerbaijan, the author of which was France," Aliyev said, speaking at a meeting dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the ruling Yeni Azerbaijan party, Turan reports.
The Azerbaijani leader assured that now France is patronizing Armenia. "They call each other sisters, and they emphasize this, although they could call themselves brothers as well. The initial version of the resolution prepared was based on purely anti-Azerbaijani theses and completely contradicted reality," Aliyev said, assuring that all anti-Azerbaijani theses were removed thanks to the efforts of our friends from the Francophonie organization.
"And the Franco-Armenian tandem could not take advantage of this opportunity," Aliyev continued, saying that this is another indicator of Azerbaijan's international prestige and the growing number of its friendly countries.
Then he boasted that even in organizations where "Azerbaijan does not participate, he has more friends than Armenia, and in particular the CSTO."
"Armenia's attempts to put forward unfounded claims against Azerbaijan through the CSTO were unsuccessful, since other members of the organization did not go to Yerevan's provocation. This suggests that we have more friends in this organization than Armenia," the Azerbaijani permanent leader summed up.
Earlier, the Armenian media reported that following the results of the OIF summit in Tunisia, a resolution was adopted expressing solidarity with Armenia against the backdrop of Azerbaijani aggression.
