ArmInfo. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received a group of businessmen of Armenian origin from Ukraine.
According to the press service of the Armenian government, the meeting was also attended by Armenian Deputy Prime Ministers Mher Grigoryan and Hambardzum Matevosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan, Chief Executive Director ofthe Investment Support Center Levon Ohanesyan,, and RA Ambassador to Ukraine Vladimir Karapetyan.
The Prime Minister expressed hope that as a result of today's meeting, the presence of entrepreneurs in the Republic of Armenia will expand. He pointed to the unprecedented high growth of the Armenian economy and the existing problems. "Today, unfortunately, we are not able to fully implement our plans for capital investments for the simple reason that the capabilities of the private sector in Armenia are not sufficiently developed to enable them, so to speak, to implement all the proposals of the government. We are talking about the construction of roads, schools, kindergartens, and other government facilities, and I would like to draw your attention to this fact," he said. The prime minister also noted opportunities, including investment ones. "As for which directions are more promising and interesting for you, I think you will decide better," the head of the Cabinet said.
Nikol Pashinyan said that the Investment Support Center operates under the Ministry of Economy, the main task of which is to provide support to businessmen and entrepreneurs interested in investing in Armenia. <And We are always eager to listen to your opinions, impressions, perhaps, about some obstacles or difficulties that you encountered in Armenia. There may be objective difficulties, the solution of which is unrealistic, but in any case, it is very important for us to have complete information that we must take into account in our future activities>, he said. Nikol Pashinyan and other members of the government who participated in the meeting answered questions of interest to businessmen regarding the ongoing reforms in the direction of creating a favorable environment for business, etc. The Prime Minister instructed the heads of responsible departments to be in constant contact with entrepreneurs and assist in the effective implementation of programs within the framework of government tools.
