ArmInfo. The Embassy of Armenia in Russia issued a statement in connection with the screening of a provocative Azerbaijani film at the Exhibition of All- Russia Exhibition Centre in Moscow.
Thus, the statement of the diplomatic mission of Armenia in the Russian Federation expresses deep disappointment regarding the screening on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Center on November 9, 2022 of a film, made by Azerbaijani film producer Arzu Aliyeva about the aggression against the civilian population of Nagorno Karabakh (Artsakh) in the fall of 2020, which was later called the 44-day war.
"We consider this action as an outright provocation aimed at inciting ethnic hatred and undermining the numerous efforts made in recent years to prevent further escalation of tension both between Armenia and Azerbaijan, and between the communities of the two countries on the territory of the Russian Federation.
The documentary film with the odious title "Shusha, you are free" is another product of anti-Armenian Azerbaijani propaganda, which not only offends the feelings of the large Armenian community living in the territory of the Russian Federation, their compatriots in the Republic of Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, but it also clearly encourages the Azerbaijani youth, who continue to grow up on that hatred and xenophobia," the Armenian embassy emphasized.
It is obvious that by such actions, the Azerbaijani side is trying to justify in the eyes of the international community the gravest war crimes committed against the residents of Nagorno Karabakh and their defenders both during the 2020 war and during the subsequent events of 2021-2022, ongoing acts vandalism on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh, occupied in the course of aggression.
"We also note that the Azerbaijani side deliberately chose the site of its pavilion on the territory of the All- Russian Exhibition Center , intending to discredit not only the beloved exhibition center, which preaches the ideas of friendship and cooperation between peoples, but also the country, thanks to the efforts of which Armenia and Azerbaijan decided to elect path leading to peace and good neighborliness," the embassy concluded.
