ArmInfo. "Another manifestation of betrayal," commented the chairman of the Helsinki Committee of Armenia, Avetik Ishkhanyan, about the ban on entry to Armenia for Russian MP Konstantin Zatulin.
"Thus, by decree of the dictator, MP of State Duma of Russia Konstantin Zatulin was banned from entering Armenia. By the way, Zatulin is one of the prominent Russian politicians who openly sympathizes with Armenia, Artsakh and the Armenian people. In his public speeches, Mr. Zatulin always speaks for the independence of Artsakh, sharply contradicting the pro-Azerbaijani figure Igor Korotchenko," Ishkhanyan said.
The human rights activist also admitted that Zatulin also criticizes the current "pro-Turkish" government in Armenia, but never goes beyond the limits of correctness. Ishkhanyan believes that Zatulin is treated in the same way as Mourad Papazian, a prominent representative of the Armenian Diaspora in France, and other figures who were also banned from entering Armenia. According to the human rights activist, if critics of the authorities inside Armenia are persecuted, imprisoned, then foreign figures are simply prohibited from entering the Republic of Armenia. "Both Azerbaijanis and Turks freely visit Armenia, buy real estate here, mock us at the Armenian Genocide monument, call Armenia their homeland for the foreseeable future. The dictator hands the Kurdish rebels over to Turkey, shakes hands with the presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, who are ready to ravage Armenia, and the Prime Minister of Hungary, who handed over the murderer, serves them. The dictator forbids Zatulin from entering Armenia, so that he can later welcome Korotchenko with open arms. This is another manifestation of betrayal," the human rights activist summed up.
It should be noted that today it became known that the Armenian authorities declared a great friend of the Armenian people, Russian MP Konstantin Zatulin persona non grata.
