ArmInfo.. The Armenian authorities surrendered more than 50 positions to the enemy during the Azerbaijani large-scale aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia on the night of September 13. This was stated at a meeting with residents of the Tavush region by head of the parliamentary faction of the "Armenia" bloc, former Minister of Defense Seyran Ohanyan.
The latter criticized the actions of the Speaker of the Armenian Parliament in these circumstances, who handed over bonuses on the occasion of the Independence Day of the Republic of Armenia, September 21. "On September 13, your state surrendered more than 50 positions to the enemy. You are the speaker of the parliament of this state. And you are moving forward, losing the positions of your country and simultaneously handing out holiday bonuses," the general was indignant.
The head of the faction admitted that under the previous authorities there were also shortcomings, but under the current authorities they have increased sharply.
In this regard, he accused the current authorities of the country of violating all national interests that have been formed over the past three decades - Artsakh, the army, the sovereignty of Armenia and urban planning. According to the MP, the Armenian state still exists only thanks to the civil service system established over the past 27 years.
"Our struggle is as follows: you cannot solve the problem by constantly giving something up. The more you give up, the more Turks will want to put pressure. Therefore, let's straighten our backs, raise the spirit of our people, restore the army, this can be done in a short time," Ohanyan stressed, pointing to the mess in the country's armed forces.
He once again stressed that the Armenian Armed Forces were able to fight, the problem was the inability to control these Armed Forces.
It should be noted that a group of MPs of the "Armenia" bloc, headed by Seyran Ohanyan and Gegham Manukyan, visited the Tavush region and held meetings with citizens. They visited the cities of Berd and Ijevan, as well as the communities of Artsvaberd, Chinari, Aygedzor.
At meetings with residents and community leaders, the essence of the concerns of the residents of all these border settlements was the same: security issues, the current state of the Armenian army, the future of Artsakh.
