RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, at a meeting with the representative of the French Presidency of the EU Council, Advisor to the French President's Office Isabelle Dumont and the French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Brice Roquefeuil, stressed the role of France as the co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group.
According to the press service of the RA Prime Minister, the interlocutors discussed issues related to the implementation of the agreements reached at the September 26 meeting in Paris between Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron. An exchange of views took place on the results of a quadripartite meeting held in Prague between the Prime Minister of Armenia, the President of France, the President of the Council of Europe and the President of Azerbaijan.
The importance of developing a peace treaty between Armenia and Azerbaijan in accordance with the UN Charter and on the basis of the Alma-Ata Declaration of 1991, as well as the implementation of border demarcation work and ensuring the activities of the EU civil mission on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, was noted.
The issues of security and protection of the rights of the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh, the creation of an international mechanism for negotiations between Stepanakert and Baku, the return of Armenian prisoners of war held in Azerbaijan were touched upon.
