ArmInfo. The member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the Armenia opposition faction Mkhitar Zakaryan decided to quit his parliamentary activity. He wrote about this on his Facebook page.
The MP noted that Armenia and Artsakh are facing serious challenges today. Everyone knows the problems related to the security, status and protection of the rights of Artsakh Armenians. At the same time, Armenia's security is also under threat. Enemy's armed forces continue to remain on the sovereign territory of the country.
"There are many problems - from a direct threat of the use of force to the politicization of humanitarian issues. All of them need urgent solutions, but to solve them effectively and finally, each of us must be in the right place. I, as a MP of the Armenia faction, decided to stop my parliamentary activity with the determination to serve my Motherland more effectively. At the same time, I would like to inform that I will continue my political activities as a member of the Reviving Armenia Party, doing my best to solve the problems facing the country. I wish success to all my counterparts who are fulfilling their mission in Parliament," Zakarian wrote.
