ArmInfo. The General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces should act rather than talk Tigran Abrahamyan, MP from the "I have the honor" opposition faction, wrote about this on his Facebook page, commenting on yesterday's statement by the Deputy Chiefof the General Staff of the RA Armed Forces Arakel Martikyan about an order to restore the country's territorial integrity.
According to the MP, such statements raise more questions than answers. <The Deputy Chief of the General Staff says that there is an order to restore the sovereign territories of Armenia, the duty of the Armed Forces is to fulfill the order of the supreme commander, and "we will do everything to achieve it." The General Staff should act, rather than talk. If such a task is set, then for what purpose is it publicized: to win without starting operations, or to pave the way for a new aggression by Azerbaijan?>, the parliamentarian asks.
He added that violations of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Armenia are unacceptable. <All red lines have long been passed. It is already clear to everyone. It is also quite clear that this government will not prevent the decline of Armenia, rather it will contribute to it with its actions. At this stage, the government needs new political sacrifices like air and water in order to serve the society, to dramatically expand the ranks of those who bear political responsibility with it, and to hide the truth.>, Tigran Abrahamyan stressed. Yesterday, in Vardenis, at a meeting with ambassadors of foreign states, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces Arakel Martikyan announced that there is an order to restore the sovereign borders of Armenia. "The duty of the Armed Forces is to fulfill the order of the Supreme Commander-in- Chief, we will do everything to achieve this," Martikyan said.
