Establishing peace, stability and security in the Caucasus region is very important for the Islamic Republic of Iran. We have always stressed the need to respect territorial integrity, national sovereignty and rejected any change in the recognized borders between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Armenia. The parties must resolve their differences through dialogue and peacefully on the basis of international law," Raisi said. As the Islamic Republic of Iran defends its national interests and security and the region, the Iranian President continued, it also declares its readiness to help resolve differences between these two neighboring countries.
It should be noted that a meeting of the Council of Heads of State - members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization was held today in Samarkand. The meeting was attended by Prime Minister of India, President of Kazakhstan, President of Kyrgyzstan, President of China, Prime Minister of Pakistan, President of Tajikistan, President of Uzbekistan as heads of delegations of SCO member states . President of Belarus, President of Iran and President of Mongolia participate as heads of delegations of observer states in the organization, President of Azerbaijan, President of Turkmenistan and President of Turkey as guests of the presiding side (Uzbekistan).
