Zourabichvili: Georgia deplores the dangerous escalation between  Armenia and Azerbaijan

According to her, a peaceful Caucasus is the path towards a stronger,  developed and more independent region benefiting the future of our  populations.

On the night of September 13, the Armed Forces of the Republic of  Azerbaijan began large-scale military operations on the border with  Armenia using UAVs and large-caliber weapons. Armenia turned to  Russia, the CSTO and the UN Security Council in connection with the  aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia.   In connection with the current situation, the RA police switched to  enhanced service. There are reports of dead and wounded on both  sides. According to the RA Prime Minister, 105  Armenian soldiers  were killed. And Azerbaijan confirmed the death of its 71 soldiers.  Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan noted  that with the participation of the international community, it was  possible to reach an agreement on a ceasefire along the entire length  of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The RA Ministry of Defense added  that from 8:00pm on September 14, the shooting stopped at all  sections of the border.
