Lebanese Foreign Ministry comments on military aggression unleashed  by Azerbaijan against Armenia

ArmInfo. The Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants expresses deep concern over the recent military events between Azerbaijan and Armenia on the  territory of the Republic of Armenia. This is stated in the statement  of the Lebanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants in  connection with the military aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan  against Armenia.  At the same time, the Ministry expressed regret  over the killings and destruction in Armenian cities.

"We call for a cessation of hostilities, respect for the ceasefire,  and the resumption and continuation of negotiations between the two  countries.  The Ministry also emphasizes the need for restraint,  prevention of military escalation, return to dialogue, respect for  the principles of international law and signed agreements, and the  adoption of peaceful solutions to disputes provided for by the UN  Charter in order to stop attacks and restore security," the Lebanese  Ministry said in a statement.

On the night of September 13, the Armed Forces of the Republic of  Azerbaijan began large-scale military operations on the border with  Armenia using UAVs and large-caliber weapons. Armenia turned to  Russia, the CSTO and the UN Security Council in connection with the  aggression of Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of Armenia.   In connection with the current situation, the RA police switched to  enhanced service. There are reports of dead and wounded on both  sides. According to the RA Prime Minister, 105  Armenian soldiers  were killed. And Azerbaijan confirmed the death of its 71 soldiers.   Moscow announced the achievement of a truce between the parties as of  09:00 am on September 13. Meanwhile, later the Ministry of Defense of  the Republic of Armenia reported that the hostilities were still  ongoing. The UN Security Council, at the suggestion of France, held a  special meeting the day before because of the situation on the  Armenian- Azerbaijani border. Armenia initiated a special meeting of  the OSCE Council. The CSTO will send a mission to the region. The  column of the Border Guard Department of the FSS of the Russian  Federation in the Republic of Armenia was also attacked by the  Azerbaijani armed forces.

Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan noted  that with the participation of the international community, it was  possible to reach an agreement on a ceasefire along the entire length  of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border. The RA Ministry of Defense added  that from 8:00pm on September 14, the shooting stopped at all  sections of the border.
