This is stated in the statement of RA President Vahagn Khachaturyan.
In this vein, the head of state expressed his deepest condolences to the families and friends of the killed servicemen, wishing them strength and a speedy recovery for the wounded soldiers.
"I appeal to Armenia's international partners to condemn the encroachments and provocations of the Azerbaijani armed forces against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia, and, in accordance with the norms of international law, force the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan to give up the practice of threatening the use of force and unleashing violence," the RA President's message says.
"I hope, that the partners in the CSTO, the UN Security Council, the relevant bodies of the OSCE and the international community will give a unified, adequate and purposeful assessment of Azerbaijan's gross violation of the fundamental principles of international law - a gross violation of the principle of territorial integrity and aggression aimed at disrupting the peaceful agenda.
I call on our citizens, all political forces, parties and public organizations of Armenia, realizing the seriousness and imperativeness of the moment, to put aside political differences and contradictions and unanimously, unconditionally support the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia and public unity.
Our Motherland needs to be consolidated and protected, and in the current situation, we should all be united by the sacred task of protecting our country, ensuring the inviolability of borders, sovereignty and security," Khachaturyan concluded.
