ArmInfo.On September 13, at the initiative of the Armenian side, an emergency meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held with the participation of the leadership of the CSTO Secretariat and the Chief of the Joint Staff, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov. He noted that the chairman of the meeting, the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO Viktor Biyagov, informed his colleagues about the development of the situation in certain areas of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan and informed about the appeal of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia N.V. Pashinyan to the members of the Collective Security Council of the CSTO in this connection.
"The members of the Council expressed extreme concern over the current situation and considered proposals regarding the possible activation of the CSTO mechanisms to resolve the situation," Zainetdinov said.
