ArmInfo.Russian President Vladimir Putin and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan are in constant contact on the issue of ensuring security around Nagorno- Karabakh. As the Kremlin's press service reports, the Russian leader stated this during a meeting with the RA Prime Minister on the sidelines of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
"We are in constant contact with you - we have regular meetings and we talk on the phone on current topical issues. But, nevertheless, at today's personal meeting, I consider it important to remember that this year we celebrated the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the signing of the fundamental treaty," Vladimir Putin said.
According to him, RF-RA relations are developing in all directions. < We cooperate in our organizations, both in economic and within the framework of the CSTO, I mean ensuring security and stability. In the near future, you plan to be in Uzbekistan within the framework of SCO, where you will have the opportunity to see each other again, to exchange ideas with all your colleagues," he said.
Vladimir Putin emphasized that Russia confidently maintains the first place among Armenia's trade and economic partners. Trade turnover is growing - according to him, it has increased by 25-30 percent lately. "We are indeed recording the stabilization of the economic situation in Armenia. Much work has been done by your Government in this direction", the President of the Russian Federation noted.
"Of course, one of the most sensitive issues is the security situation around Nagorno-Karabakh. We are talking about this with you all the time, we are in constant contact. And I am glad that I had the opportunity to talk about all these topics during your visit to Russia today, within the framework of the economic forum in Vladivostok," Putin said.
Also, as the head of the Russian Federation pointed out, the circle of those companies and people who interact is expanding. "In the near future, our business operators are also going to meet, and a forum of regions should be held. There are other planned activities, including in the humanitarian sector, in the field of culture, education>, the President of Russia said.
