ArmInfo. Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that so far there are no plans for telephone conversations with Azerbaijani President Ilham on the schedule of Russian leader Vladimir Putin amid tensions in Nagorno-Karabakh, but the conversation may be quickly coordinated.
"It is not in the President's schedule at the moment. But if necessary, such contact may be made very quickly," he told reporters, answering the relevant question.
At the same time, he did not rule out that the leaders of the Russian Federation and Turkey, Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, during the talks on August 5, will exchange views in connection with the aggravation in Nagorno-Karabakh.
"It is not excluded that the presidents will exchange views on this escalation," Peskov summed up.
Another aggravation in the zone of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict began on the morning of August 1. Azerbaijani units do not stop provocations and ceasefire violations. On August 1, as a result of shelling from the Azerbaijani side, a soldier of the Artsakh Defense Army was wounded. As a result of the enemy's actions, 19 servicemen of the Artsakh Armed Forces were injured and two more were killed. The enemy used drones and grenade launchers. The goal is to force the people of Artsakh to leave Berdzor.
