ArmInfo.The newly appointed representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Armenia Jihane Tawilah presented her credentials to Armenia's FM Ararat Mirzoyan.
Mr Mirzoyan highly appreciated the WHO's activities in Armenia and thanked the organization for assisting Armenia with COVID-19 control and in coping with the aftermath. The sides exchanged views on health reforms in Armenia and on the country's cooperation with the WHO.
The Armenian FM stressed that Armenia's government is taking consistent steps to improve the living standards in Armenia, including the quality of health care.
Mr Mirzoyan also drew Ms Tawilah's attention to the humanitarian challenges after the 44-day war in the context of health sector problems, highlighted the importance of international agencies' involvement.
