On July 20, at 12:57, the National Crisis Management Center received a message that explosive devices had been planted at Yerevan metro stations. A canine detachment of the Center for Rescue Operations for Special Purposes of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and an engineering and rescue detachment of the Civil Defense Troops left for the scene. As of 13:30, the work of the Yerevan metro has been stopped. Passengers and personnel have been evacuated.
By order of Minister of Emergency Situations, the director of the Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Colonel Armen Gasparyan and his deputy, Colonel Tigran Petrosyan, left for the scene to coordinate work.
