ArmInfo.Today, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili met with Ararat Mirzoyan, Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia, an official report says.
The conversation focused on the upcoming meeting between the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi. Irakli Garibashvili underlined the need to bolster the dialogue's positive dynamic further.
The parties also discussed the peaceful neighborhood initiative and pointed out that this dialogue platform will contribute to normalizing regional relations.
Attention was also paid to the current and prospective cooperation between Georgia and Armenia, including in the areas of economic and bilateral trade relations.
The meeting also discussed the situation in the South Caucuses. The Head of Government and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Armenia emphasized the importance of joint effort in dealing with challenges.
The Head of Government thanked Ararat Mirzoyan for Armenia's firm support of Georgia's sovereignty and territorial integrity.
The meeting at the Government Administration was attended by the Deputy Foreign Minister of the Armenia, Vahe Gevorgyan, and Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili.
