ArmInfo.Use of force or threat of force and regular violations of arms control, as well as hiring mercenaries in armed conflicts have actually questioned the OSCE's ability to ensure its common responsibility, Armenia's Deputy FM Vahe Gevorgyan stated at the OSCE Annual Security Review Conference as he spoke of the security challenges in the region the OSCE is responsible for.
Azerbaijan continues violating the trilateral agreement of November 9, 2020, and made steps to create a humanitarian crisis in Artsakh and put obstacles to the OSCE Minsk Group.
Mr Gevorgyan highlighted the importance of the OSCE's activities aimed at ensuring the Artsakh people's rights to decide its future as a key goal of the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process.
He also highlighted the importance of the OSCE's involvement in humanitarian issues, including the handover of Armenian POWs and protection of cultural heritage.
Mr Gevorgyan held a meeting with OSCE Secretary General Helga Maria Schmid.
