ArmInfo. Representatives of the Resistance Movement, demanding the resignation of current Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan, made a three-day visit to Nagorno-Karabakh on June 21-23, where they held meetings with political forces, representatives of all factions of the NKR National Assembly, state organizations and former presidents.
According to the press service of the "Armenia" bloc, during the meetings, the coordinator of the Resistance Movement Ishkhan Saghatelyan spoke about the course of their Movement, tasks and upcoming events.
It was emphasized that the Republic of Artsakh occupies a key place in the context of giving the Movement a pan-Armenian and comprehensive character.
Agreements were reached that contrary to the current authorities of Armenia, in the absence of reasonable and proper cooperation with the Republic of Artsakh, joint programs and mutual visits should be carried out.
It was confirmed that the statement unanimously adopted by the National Assembly of the Republic of Artsakh on April 14, 2022, which fixed the key principles and red lines of the future of Artsakh, remains a guideline for the authorities and people of Artsakh.
Also, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Ishkhan Saghatelyan, MPs Tigran Abrahamyan, Aghvan Vardanyan, Aram Vardevanyan, Artur Sargsyan and Gegham Manukyan, together with MPs of the NKR, visited Askeran, Martakert and Martuni regions, met with residents and the heads of local self-government bodies. A separate meeting was held at the Municipality of Stepanakert with the participation of the leadership of the municipality, directors of educational and cultural institutions of the capital.
The statement of the Artsakh Parliament emphasized that the current state-legal status of the Republic of Artsakh was formed through the expression of the will of the people: three referendums, the Constitution adopted as a result of them and the national consensus reached by all parts of the Armenians in previous years.
"The Armenians of Artsakh are well aware of the price of peace. The statehood of Artsakh, the right to live freely and independently in their historical homeland is an absolute value, and even the threat of war cannot force to renounce it.
By itself, any negotiation process between Armenia and Azerbaijan with a "peace" agenda, involving the forcible inclusion of Artsakh into Azerbaijan, as well as the signing of the document resulting from this, undermines not only the statehood of Artsakh, but also the inalienable right of the Armenians of Artsakh to live in their historical homeland.
We demand that the authorities of the Republic of Armenia abandon their current destructive position and be guided exclusively by the indicated values. Not a single authority has the right, under the pretext of "peace", to agree to a status unacceptable for Artsakh, as well as lower the bar of the internationally recognized right to self-determination in the negotiation process," the statement of the NKR National Assembly emphasized.
The statement was made after RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated from the rostrum of the parliament that the international community calls on the Armenian side to "lower the bar" on Nagorno- Karabakh.
