ArmInfo. Contribution to the stability and development of the South Caucasus and Central Asia is one of the priorities of Turkey's foreign policy. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated this at a reception in Ankara dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Turkey and its friendly and fraternal countries.
The head of Turkish diplomacy noted that the spheres of logistics and energy also remain successful areas for the development of Turkey's relations with the post-Soviet states.
The Minister said that in the coming weeks, cooperation in these areas will be the subject of discussion at meetings with the participation of representatives of Turkey, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. According to the Turkish minister, relations with Azerbaijan are at a particularly high level.
"Thanks to the "de-occupation of the historical lands of Azerbaijan", conditions for peace and long-term stability have been formed in the South Caucasus. I hope that this chance will not be missed. Ankara fully supports Baku's steps in this direction," Cavusoglu said.
The head of Turkish diplomacy further touched upon the topic of strategic partnership with Georgia. "In the near future, the visit of the head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry to our country is planned," Cavusoglu said.
He noted that in 2022, Turkey's relations with Uzbekistan were also brought to the level of strategic partnership. Relations with Kazakhstan are successfully developing at the same level. Also, meetings are held on a periodic basis with the participation of representatives of Turkey and Kyrgyzstan. A number of mutual visits are planned in the near future, the minister shared.
He noted that the Organization of Turkic States is a concrete result of Turkey's cooperation with Turkic- speaking states, Anadolu reports.
