ArmInfo. This year, the traditional Yerevan Wine Days (YWD) will take place on June 3 and 4. Co-founder of the festival Mary Badalyan announced this.
This year, 37 domestic wine producers will present their products. Answering a question from an ArmInfo correspondent, Badalyan said that from year to year, at least about 10 new winemakers participate in the festival. " There will also be a lot of new companies thhis year that are gradually replacing our old manufacturers," she stressed.
At the same time, the co-founder of the festival said that given that the main goal of the festival is to help domestic winemakers sell their products as much as possible, she noted that this year it will be possible to deliver wines purchased at the festival through the national postal operator, HayPost.
"Last year the festival was attended by about 35 thousand people. And there was little space for free movement of citizens. It was very difficult to move around with bottles of wine in hands, which makes it impossible to fully enjoy the environment of the largest wine festival in Yerevan. Therefore, this year we decided to provide convenience for our guests by solving logistical issues in a similar way", Badalyan noted.
According to her, the festival will start at 4:00 pm and last until 10:30 pm. Admission is free.
It should be noted that the Yerevan Wine Days festival is held in Armenia every year, on several central streets of Yerevan - Saryan, Moskovyan and Tumanyan, starting from 2017. The purpose of the event is the development of Enotourism.
