ArmInfo.According to Pashinyan, democracy in Armenia is not cloudless. "We are facing two groups of problems. All the democracies of the world face the first group of problems.
The first problem is to use democracy against democracy. You know that all the democracies of the world are facing this problem today. This is the case when democratic principles are used to destroy democracy. And along the way, we need to document our strategy for overcoming this problem. My deepest conviction is that the best way to overcome this challenge is the creation of democratic institutions, the democratization of state institutions in a certain sense of the term, the activity of state institutions on the basis of professionalism, legitimacy, transparency and responsibility," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, according to the Prime Minister, the current situation with the judicial system is one of the most serious challenges. "Because of the lack of progress in the reform of the judiciary, many in this room criticize us. We consider this criticism objective, justified, we condemn ourselves, but, on the other hand, we know the problems we face more deeply. But we are determined to follow this path and must be consistent in this matter", Nikol Pashinyan concluded.
