ArmInfo. RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan received a delegation led by Guilio Centemero, Head of the Italy-Armenia Bilateral Relations Department of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.
According to the Press Service of the RA MFA, the RA Deputy Foreign Minister thanked the Italian guests for their contribution to the development of 30-year relations between Armenia and Italy. The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of parliamentary dialogue between the two countries. Noting the role of legislators in the development of interstate relations, the interlocutors stressed the importance of further deepening and strengthening relations between Armenia and Italy. During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the steps taken to establish security and peace in the South Caucasus region.
The Armenian side presented the situation in the region and the position of Armenia regarding the processes aimed at establishing peace and stability. In this context, RA Deputy Foreign Minister noted the importance of reaffirming support at the parliamentary level for the only format for the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship, as well as efforts aimed at eliminating the humanitarian consequences of the 44-day war.
