ArmInfo. We started a conversation with Turkey and agreed to try to normalize relations without preconditions. But it is clear that in a situation where there is a colossal negative historical legacy, this is not easy to do. And without the active, sincere support of the international community, we will be less likely to succeed. Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan stated, speaking at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations, Clingendael.
"We want the international community to hear our voice, we want the international community to see the people living in Nagorno-Karabakh today, who every day, despite many difficult circumstances, are fighting for their right to live in their native land. But the fact is that these people, in fact, are deprived of the opportunity to fully communicate with the international community", Pashinyan said, adding that today Azerbaijan has closed access to Nagorno-Karabakh for many international organizations, including the UN, UNESCO, even the OSCE. The prime minister believes that this restrictive position of Azerbaijan is incomprehensible, and shows the latter's unwillingness to change the situation.
