ArmInfo.Yerevan Mayor Hrachya Sargsyan, at a meeting with the Ambassador of France to Armenia Anne Louyot, highly appreciating the role of France in the programs implemented in the capital so far, expressed confidence that the warm relations established with the embassy will be long-lasting.
This, in turn, will contribute to the further expansion of the friendly and practical relations established between Yerevan and a number of French cities. Expressing gratitude for the readiness to expand the partnership, Ambassador Louyot noted that she would do her best to support all initiatives aimed at strengthening bilateral ties, the press service of the Yerevan Municipality reports.
Currently, the Municipality of Yerevan cooperates with Paris, Marseille, Lyon, Nice as well as the district of Ile-de-France. The parties noted the importance of expanding cooperation and exchanging experience in various areas of the urban economy with the regions of the partner cities. Referring to the next conference on decentralized cooperation, which will be held in Lyon in June this year, the mayor and the ambassador expressed their confidence that this will be a good opportunity to discuss the vision and plans for further cooperation.
