ArmInfo. Third president of Armenia, leader of the Republican Party Serzh Sargsyan has repeatedly stated that he is not going to hold any high state post anymore. Hayk Mamijanyan, secretary of the parliamentary faction of the "I have the honor" bloc, stated this on May 4 in an interview with journalists during the march of the Resistance Movement.
"Serzh Sargsyan probably stated ten, twenty, thirty times that he would no longer hold high government posts. He will guide the new generation with his experience and advices," the opposition MP assured. Regarding the further actions of the opposition, he said in particular: "We will form a meritocratic government. That is, we will form it not according to party affiliation, but in essence. The vacancies will be occupied by professionals that we need so much today."
According to him, the function of the interim government will be to take immediate action that meets the security of our country and organize normal, competitive elections, not races with clumsiness and incomprehensible rhetoric Mamijanyan added that the interim government will not be the government of any party. "The government will include all the specialists that our country urgently needs," the MPsummed up.
