According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Armenia, the seismological network of the territorial seismic protection service of the department on May 1 at 16:50 local time (GMT - at 12:50) registered tremors with a magnitude of 2.7 in the border zone, 14 km northeast of the village Bavra on the Armenian-Georgian border. The epicenter was at a depth of 10 km, the strength of the tremors was 3-4 points. An earthquake of 3 points was felt in the villages of Bavra, Sizavet and Saragyugh of the Shirak region of the Republic of Armenia. Earlier, on the evening of May 1, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 was registered in the same direction. The epicenter at a depth of 14 km, the force of the tremors was 6 points.
The earthquake was felt in the Shirak and Lori regions with a magnitude of 5, in the Tavush region with a magnitude of 3-4, as well as in Yerevan, Kotayk and Aragatsotn with a magnitude of 3.
