ArmInfo. More international organizations must be present in Artsakh, which would offer more guarantees for human rights protection and secure life to the Artsakh Armenians, RA Human Rights Defender Kristinne Grigoryan stated at her meeting with Ms Delphine Borione, French Ambassador for Human Rights, French Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Brice Roquefeuil and representatives of the Directorate for Continental Europe, Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France.
Ms Grigoryan presented the situation in Artsakh and in the border communities of Armenia. She drew the French side's attention to the pressure the Azerbaijani troops are exerting on the local population and conditions Azerbaijan is creating to force the Artsakh Armenians into fleeing their homeland.
Ms Grigoryan said that she is in contact with the relatives of POWs and other detainees and expressed concern over Azerbaijan refusing to honor its commitments to hand over all the POWs and detainees under the trilateral statement.
In his turn, Mr Brice Roquefeuil voiced concern over the humanitarian problems that have remained unsettled since the end of the hostilities. He highly appreciated Ms Grigoryan's contribution to resolving problems and maintaining contacts with the relatives of POWs and other detainees.
