Opposition march from Ijevan to Yerevan started

ArmInfo. Opposition march from Tavush region, city of Ijevan started today. The initiators were MPs of the "Armenia" faction Gegham Nazaryan and Aspram Krpeyan, who were  joined by about 3 dozen residents of Ijevan and surrounding  communities.

Before the start of the opposition march, the clergyman of the Ijevan  Church of St. Nerses Shnorali Ter Simeon blessed all those gathered.  He noted that the church does not interfere in political issues. "Our  goal is spiritual service to the people," the clergyman emphasized.  The representative of the clergy said that the Armenian people are  not ready to give up their lands and lose Artsakh for a centimeter.  Calling today's movement a national struggle, Ter Simeon stressed  that the clergy should be close to the people. "In the coming years,  our task is to protect our homeland, state independence, and bring  peace to our people," he stressed. The clergyman attached importance  to the readiness to preserve, protect and strengthen the homeland,  combining all the potential, both political and national and  spiritual, in order to achieve the ultimate goal - peace.

Aspram Krpeyan said that the opposition march will last 7 days, the  marchers must walk 150 km. <Formula and motto of our victory: There  is no Armenia without Artsakh, there is no Artsakh without Armenia,  just as there is no Armenia without Tavush, and there is no Tavush  without Armenia. All areas of our homeland are sacred to us, and in  order to protect them, every Armenian must be ready for  self-sacrifice. We must take a share of the responsibility for the  idea of having an eternal Armenia>, she said. According to the  participants of the movement, the only key to solving the problems  that have arisen is the elimination of the current government with  its chairman, after which serious and difficult work lies ahead.  

Today, RA NA Vice Speaker, "Hayastan" bloc MP Ishkhan Saghatelyan on his Facebook page, called on citizens to oin the opposition movement in Yerevan as well, at 6:30pm near the Church of the Holy Cross  on Komitas Avenue.
