ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on April 22 at a government meeting stated that the contribution of the Russian peacekeeping contingent in ensuring the security of Nagorno-Karabakh is undeniable.

According to him, it is very important to ensure the security of  Nagorno-Karabakh, the key component of which is the uninterrupted  operation of the Lachin corridor.

In this context, according to the prime minister, the contribution of  the Russian peacekeeping contingent is undeniable. The penetration of the Azerbaijani  armed forces in the zone of responsibility of the Russian  peacekeepers in the area of the village of Parukh is an extremely  puzzling fact, which is significant from the point of view of  assessing the general situation and we hope that the Russian  peacekeeping contingent will ensure the full withdrawal of  Azerbaijani units ", he stated.

"The Parukh crisis, in fact, arose as a result of a violation of the  agreements," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on March 31  at a government meeting. "In order to defuse the tense situation in  the region, an agreement was reached on the equal withdrawal of a  number of positions from the Parukh- Khramort sector, and this  agreement was to be guaranteed by the Russian peacekeeping  contingent. Several Armenian positions were withdrawn, Russian  peacekeepers were stationed in the area, but before their eyes,  Azerbaijanis invaded the zone of responsibility of the peacekeepers,"  Pashinyan said.  Earlier, Nikol Pashinyan repeatedly stated that he  expects the Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh to take measures  to ensure the withdrawal of Azerbaijani units from their zone of  responsibility. "We also consider it necessary to conduct an  investigation into the actions of Russian peacekeepers for their  adequacy, as well as possible inaction, which I also spoke about with  Russian President Vladimir Putin," Pashinyan said.
