


ArmInfo.The role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within its mandate was discussed at today's meeting of Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan with French OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Brice Roquefeuil.
According to the press service of the RA MFA, during the meeting the situation arising from the invasion of the Azerbaijani armed forces in the village of Parukh and adjacent areas of Nagorno-Karabakh (located in the zone of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent) was discussed.
Mirzoyan spoke about the humanitarian problems deliberately created by Azerbaijan for the Armenians of Artsakh and the actions aimed at the ethnic cleansing of Nagorno-Karabakh. The need for the return of Azerbaijani armed units to their starting positions of March 23 was emphasized.
The Foreign Minister presented Armenia's position on the start of negotiations on a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, emphasizing the mediating role of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs in this context.
