ArmInfo.n Armenia, the level of distrust towards the current authorities has grown in the issue of concluding a peace treaty with Azerbaijan, which would be on acceptable terms and would proceed from the interests of Armenia and Artsakh. This is evidenced by the results of a survey by the MPG consulting company , which presents an Armenian view of the Russian- Ukrainian conflict and touches on issues of the domestic political agenda.
Presenting the results of the survey, MPG Director Aram Navasardyan said that 40.3% of respondents are unambiguously sure that the current government is not able to conclude such an agreement on favorable terms, 16.9% believe that it is more likely <no than yes>, 12.5 % - found it difficult to answer, 10.6% are unequivocally confident in the abilities of the authorities, and 19.8% - noted that rather "yes". At the same time, as Navasardyan noted, in comparison with 2018, the rating of Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has decreased several times. In particular, according to the results of this study, 34.1% of respondents unequivocally negatively assessed the style of work of the head of government, 13.6% rather negatively, 13.8% - gave a high assessment, and 25% are inclined to a rather positive assessment, 13.6% found it difficult to answer.
However, if parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, 20.4% would be ready to vote for the "Civil Contract". The "Armenia" opposition bloc (Robert Kocharyan - the 2nd president of the Republic of Armenia) would have receive 8.3% of the votes of the respondents, "I have the honor" - 3.7%, and other parties - below 1%. At the same time, the vast majority- about 40% - do not want to vote at all, of which 28.8% do not intend to participate at all, 10.1% are not ready to vote for any of the mentioned candidates. 9.1% of respondents refused to answer this question, and 12.9% found it difficult to answer. Based on the current reality, Aram Navasardyan noted that at the moment there is a need for new political leaders and forces in the political field of Armenia. At the same time, the majority of the public blames Azerbaijan (43.8%) for the defeat in the Artsakh war, 27% blames the government of Armenia, 14.1% - peacekeepers, 6.1% - the government of Artsakh, 3.5% - Turkey , 13% - voiced other reasons and 11.2% found it difficult to answer. When asked whether they agree to the establishment of diplomatic relations with Turkey and the opening of borders, 59.3% of responders were unambiguously against, 8.7%,- 'rather against", 5.8% found it difficult, 11.2% were in "favor", and 15.1% - rather "for".
It should be noted that the survey was conducted through telephone calls to residents of the Republic of Armenia during the period from April 2 to April 6 of this year, the sample size was 1002, the sampling error was +/- 3%.
