At the same time, he expressed confidence that the effective activity of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Nagorno-Karabakh, who ensure the security of the people of Artsakh, will contribute to the observance of the ceasefire regime and the prevention of provocations in Nagorno Karabakh, the return to normal life and stability, and security in our region.
"We highly appreciate the mediation efforts of Russia, including as a co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, with the aim of an exclusively peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict," the minister said.
At the same time, he noted that he hopes that his visit will give an additional impetus to the rich Armenian- Russian dialogue, focused on the further development of allied cooperation in all areas.
In the context of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 25th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance, Mirzoyan stated Armenia's readiness to make efforts to hold all events at the proper level in accordance with the allied nature of the Armenian- Russian relations.
According to the minister, over the past years, Armenian-Russian interstate relations have been brought to a qualitatively new level of allied cooperation, which is distinguished by active dialogue at high and highest levels, close cooperation within the CSTO, the EAEU, the CIS and other international platforms.
"We interact in the military and military-technical fields, with the consistent improvement of a broad contractual and legal framework, successful partnership in trade, economic, interregional and humanitarian sectors. We positively consider the activities of intergovernmental commissions on military-technical cooperation, commissions on economic cooperation, inter-parliamentary cooperation.
It is obvious that the agenda for bilateral cooperation is, as always, rich and there are many issues on which it is necessary to synchronize watches and properly prepare the upcoming summit meeting," Mirzoyan summed up.
