According to the information of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia, on April 5, at 13:27 local time (at 09:27 by GMT), the Seismological Network of the Regional Survey for Seismic Protection of the MES of the RA recorded an earthquake at the northern latitude 40.92 and eastern longitude 44.02 geographic coordinates (18 km southeast from the village of Ashotsk of Shirak Province, Armenia), with 2.6 magnitude and 10 km depth.
The tremor measured magnitude 3-4 points at the epicenter area.
The earthquake was felt in the villages of Saragyugh and Bavra of Shirak Province with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
In the morning, the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that an earthquake with a magnitude of 2.4 occurred in the border zone of Georgia and Armenia, 15 km east of the village of Bavra.
