Armenia`s minister of emergency situations facing corruption charges 

ArmInfo.Armenia's Minister of Emergency Situations Andranik Piloyan has been charged with bribery on a major and grand scale and with abuse of office.  The  Investigation has obtained the evidence that high-ranking officials  of the RA Ministry of Emergency Situations accepted and passed bribes  on major and grand scales, abused office and committed grand commit  embezzlement by means of fraud, etc. 

The Investigation has revealed numerous offences, with Minister  Andranik Piloyan, his advisor and a number of high-ranking officials  involved. 

On March 30, 2022, based on the evidence the investigator decided to  detain Mr Piloyan. The same day, an application for Piloyan's arrest  was submitted to court.  

The preliminary investigation is in progress. 

ArmInfo reported earlier that a search was carried out at the RA  Ministry of Emergency Situations on March 28. The same day, under  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's decision Minister Piloyan went on a  two-week holiday. On March 30 he was detained.
