ArmInfo. On March 28, RA Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan received the Russian Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group Igor Khovaev, the press service of the RA MFA reports.
The parties discussed the situation that has developed since March 24 as a result of the violation by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces of the line of contact in Nagorno-Karabakh and their invasion of the village of Parnukh, which is in the zone of responsibility of the peacekeeping contingent of the Russian Federation. According to the press service of the RA MFA, other actions of the Azerbaijani side aimed at creating a humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, persecution of the civilian population and ethnic cleansing were also touched upon. The need for the return of units of the Azerbaijani Armed Forces to their starting positions of March 23 was emphasized.
Mirzoyan presented the position of the Armenian side regarding the start of negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan on a peace agreement within the framework of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group. The importance of the full-fledged work of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairmanship was reaffirmed.
