ArmInfo.Negotiations with the Azerbaijani side on the resumption of gas supply, which are being conducted with the support of the Russian peacekeeping contingent, continue. This is stated in the message of the Artsakh InfoCenter.
"The government of the Republic of Artsakh is consistent in the issue of the speedy resolution of this important problem and we assure that all possible measures are being taken, including at the level of diplomats, information about which, of course, is not subject to disclosure.
We inform you that in order to solve the problems caused by the actions of the Azerbaijani side, by decree of the President of the Republic of Artsakh, the powers to work with the Russian peacekeeping contingent and negotiate with the Azerbaijani side are entrusted to Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh Vitaly Balasanyan," the information headquarters said in a statement. At the same time, the InfoCenter called on public and political figures to exercise restraint and refrain from manipulative actions and statements.
It should be noted that since March 21, the population of Artsakh again found itself without gas. "Due to the direct intervention of the Azerbaijani side, the gas supply to the Republic of Artsakh was again stopped. We have sufficient grounds to assert that during the repair work of the gas pipeline that exploded on March 8, the Azerbaijani side installed a valve, which cut off the gas supply a few hours ago. Adverse weather conditions serve "Azerbaijan's insidious goal to create additional humanitarian problems for our population, which is a crime. The situation was immediately reported to the command of the Russian peacekeeping forces deployed in Artsakh, together with which the Artsakh authorities are making appropriate efforts to restore gas supply," the Artsakh InfoCenter said in a statement. The situation has not yet been resolved. More than 100,000 people freeze in their homes in Artsakh amid the inaction of the international community. It is noteworthy that Azerbaijan, responding to the call of the Armenian Foreign Ministry to resume gas supply to Artsakh, stated that "this is an internal matter of Baku and urged Yerevan not to interfere." From this it is already possible to draw conclusions about what fate awaits the Armenians of Artsakh, if suddenly the NKR came under the jurisdiction of Azerbaijan. On March 23, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan also stated during a government hour in parliament that the issue of restoring gas supply to Artsakh has not yet been resolved.
