The solemn ceremony of inauguration of the President of Turkmenistan was held

The heads of the Halk Maslakhaty and the Mejlis of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan, members and deputies of both chambers of the national Parliament, deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, members of the State Security Council, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, military personnel and law enforcement officers, representatives of political parties, public associations, representatives of national and foreign mass media, local authorities and self-government bodies.

To the sounds of a solemn march, the soldiers of the Guard of Honor bring into the hall the State Flag of Turkmenistan, the Standard of the President of Turkmenistan, the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the Distinctive Badge of the President of Turkmenistan, as well as the Holy Quran.

Then the floor was given to the Chairman of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums in Turkmenistan G. Myradov, who informed about the results of the nationwide elections of the head of state, which were organized in the country on March 12, 2022.

In accordance with the Resolution adopted on March 14 this year at the final meeting of the Central Election Commission and Article 76 of the Electoral Code of Turkmenistan, candidate Serdar Gurbangulyevich Berdimuhamedov, who received an absolute majority of votes - 72.97 percent, was recognized as the elected President of Turkmenistan.

The culminating moment is coming: the newly elected President Serdar Berdimuhamedov is heading to a specially installed podium.

According to the established good tradition, representatives of the older generation, respected mothers, take the stage. One of them takes out and spreads a white felt mat as a sign of blessing for a bright path and good deeds. In the hands of another gray-haired mother is a traditional Turkmen sachak, a symbol of well-being and prosperity.

The elected President of Turkmenistan pays tribute to these eternal national shrines and approaches the podium. Putting his right hand on the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the head of state takes an oath of allegiance to the Motherland and people.

In a solemn atmosphere, the chairman of the Central Commission for holding elections and referendums, on behalf of all Turkmen citizens, presents the certificate of the President of Turkmenistan to the elected head of state.

Then the honorary elders, representing all the velayats of the country and the city of Ashgabat, present the President of Turkmenistan with the appropriate distinctive badge. On behalf of the Turkmen people, they also express the most cordial congratulations to the head of state.

It is solemnly announced that, in accordance with the Constitution of the country, the elected President of Turkmenistan has taken office.

The National Anthem of Turkmenistan is played, in unison picked up by all the participants of the ceremony.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov bows his head before the State Flag of Turkmenistan and, following the age-old national tradition, kisses the edge of the sacred banner of the Motherland and applies it to his forehead.

Then, the head of the Turkmen state, who took office, addressed the participants of the ceremony with a speech.

The speech of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov was listened to with deep attention and met with a storm of general applause.

To the applause of the participants of the ceremony, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, after warmly saying goodbye to everyone, leaves the hall.

From the Rukhyet Palace, the car of the President of Turkmenistan, accompanied by an honorary horse escort, goes to the Oguzhan Presidential Palace Complex and makes a U-turn around Galkynysh Square.

Warriors of the Guard of Honor and units of various branches of the military lined up at the central entrance to the Oguzhan Palace Complex in full readiness for the solemn military parade.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, Secretary of the State Security Council Ch. Amanov reports to the President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the country Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Having accepted the parade, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov proceeded to the Oguzhan Palace Complex to begin his duties at the highest state post.

It should be noted that today, in accordance with the Constitution of Turkmenistan, the head of state signed a Resolution on the resignation of powers by members of the Government of the country in full force, instructing them to continue performing their duties until the formation of a new composition of the Cabinet of Ministers.                                                                                                            

On the same day, an official reception was given in the Reception Center of Turkmenistan in honor of the inauguration of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.                                                                                                            

In the evening, festive events continued in the southern part of the Turkmen capital. On the square in front of the State Tribune, the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the participants of the celebration were met by popular vocalists and choreographic groups of the country.

The final chord of the colorful action unfolding on the square was a grandiose fireworks display, which lit up the evening sky over the white marble Ashgabat with myriads of sparkling fantastic constellations.                                                                                                           

On the same day, on the occasion of the inauguration of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, a festive sadaka was given at the Hezreti Omar Mosque.
