ArmInfo.Armenian and Lebanese Foreign Ministers Ararat Mirzoyan and Abdullah Bou Habib exchanged messages on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, Mirzoyan noted in his message that by establishing diplomatic relations 30 years ago, Armenia and Lebanon have enshrined the centuries-old friendship of the two peoples with the start of state cooperation. He stressed the unique, invaluable role of the Armenian community in Lebanon in strengthening relations between the two fraternal countries.
Pointing to the importance of the warm traditions of the Armenian-Lebanese relations, Mirzoyan expressed confidence that by joint efforts the parties will be able to fill the multifaceted mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation with new content.
In turn, Abdullah Bou Habib stressed that the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Armenian- Lebanese diplomatic relations is marked by firm determination to further deepen mutually beneficial cooperation.
The Lebanese Foreign Minister added that the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries is a logical continuation of the historical friendly relations between the two peoples, where the Lebanese Armenian community plays its exceptional role as a complex, key component of the Lebanese social structure.
In his message, the Lebanese diplomat also highly appreciated the strong friendship between the two countries and peoples both in peaceful and difficult times, expressing gratitude to Armenia for participating in the UNIFIL mission and emphasizing Lebanon's unwavering position regarding the territorial integrity and security of Armenia.
