


ArmInfo.The government's duty to ensure official delegations' security can be understood, but the means of checking public response are unacceptable, stated Tigran Abrahamyan of the With Honor parliamentary faction.
According to him, some police officers' treatment of the protesters in front of the Marriott Hotel in Yerevan causes indignation and questions.
"We understand the measures to ensure the delegations' security, but the policemen's loutish behavior can by no means be understood.
"I wonder what the chief of Armenia's police feels in seeing the inadequate police actions in social media. Do not the faces of our compatriots killed in the 44-day war, including a large number of police officers, flash up before him? The Armenian's dignity, courage, morals and humanity have died for you," he said. Last night, Armenia's police detained some members of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation Dashnatsutyun (ARF-D) who protested against Azerbaijani MPs' arrival in Yerevan.
"Dozen members of our union are detained," the ARF-D reported.
ARF-D member Kristine Vardanyan of the Armenia opposition faction stated that the protesters were detained with the use of force.
Ani Nahapetyan, a reporter of the Yerkir Media TV channel was detained as well.
