ArmInfo.Official Yerevan commented on the statements of President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Armenia.
"We are convinced that the original geopolitical analyzes of the President of Belarus are intended to serve, first of all, his own domestic political agenda and have nothing to do with Armenia and its foreign policy," Armenian Foreign Ministry spokesman Vahan Hunanyan said in response to numerous media inquiries.
It should be noted that the Belarusian leader in an interview with Russian TV journalist Vladimir Solovyov, referring to the possible members of the Union, noted that the association would include Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Armenia and, with the right policy, even Ukraine.
At the same time, speaking about Armenia, the Belarusian leader used quite incorrect turns. "No, well, Armenia has nowhere to go. Do you think someone needs them? They have already seen... Nikol Vovayevich saw it," Lukashenka said.
Such an attitude on the part of an ally in the EAEU and the CSTO of Belarus towards Armenia caused a flurry of criticism in the Armenian society.
