RPA chairman meets with IDU delegation

ArmInfo.Chairman of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armenia's third president Serzh Sargsyan held a meting with representatives of the International  Democrat Union (IDU) on Wednesday. The sides discussed the RPA's  application for IDU membership. 

Mr Sargsyan told the IDU delegation about the RPA's history, charter,  principles of activities, with a focus on the reforms launched after  the last RPA congress. In this context the RPA leader stressed the  party's efforts to enlist young people. The sides also discussed the  situation in the region and security challenges.  Mr Sargsyan  presented the RPA's position on the Nagorno-Karabakh problem. 

The IDU delegation included IDU Secretary General Christian Kattner,  Chairman of the Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs Dr. Reinhold  Lopatka.
