NSS of Artsakh accuses Azerbaijani special services of organizing and  carrying out cyber attacks on Artsakh resident

ArmInfo.The National Security Service of Artsakh accused the Azerbaijani side of  organizing and carrying out cyber attacks using Internet capabilities  and actions aimed at involving Artsakh residents in various  conspiracy processes in social networks after November 9, 2020  (signing of a tripartite ceasefire statement, ed. note)

Thus, the statement of the NSS of Artsakh notes that the 44-day war of 2020 was  an indescribable disaster for the citizens of the Republic of  Artsakh. "And although after the tripartite statement on November 9,  2020, active hostilities were stopped, nevertheless, Azerbaijan did  not abandon its insidious plans and continues to take steps aimed at  intimidating the civilian population of the Republic of Artsakh,  creating and maintaining panic among the Artsakh people. It is  noteworthy that that these methods and techniques are periodically  changed, "improved"," the statement reads, while citing several  examples of cyberattacks.

"At first, views of Stepanakert and other popular places of the  Republic of Artsakh were copied from the Armenian Internet segment  and published, accompanied by Azerbaijani texts, thus trying to  create a feeling of insecurity among the people of Artsakh and the  impression of free penetration of Azerbaijanis into the territory of  the Republic of Artsakh. After the NSS of Artsakh revealed the  falsification and staged nature of these materials, the methods of  influencing public consciousness have changed. With the help of  various tricks and motivations, photos and videos from the users of  social networks from Artsakh were acquired from the Renaissance  Square of Stepanakert, near the  ''We and Our Mountains'' monument   and other places, then published with the text in Azerbaijani," the  ministry noted, emphasizing that after this method was also exposed,  the Azerbaijani special services again changed their behavior, this  time trying to get information about the deployment of military units  by blackmailing military personnel, under the threat of exposing data  of a personal nature.

At the same time, it is noted that the National Security Service of  the Republic of Artsakh periodically provides the public with the  necessary information, handwriting and methods of the Azerbaijani  special services, tricks to influence the consciousness and mood of  society, in order to protect compatriots from possible  manifestations.

At the same time, the NKR NSS complained that despite their efforts,  there are still people who become victims of such actions and at the  same time are a tool for realizing threats to the internal security  of Artsakh.

In order to avoid such cases, the National Security Service of the  Republic of Artsakh once again calls to refrain from communicating  with suspicious users on social networks, not to transmit personal  information, photographs or videos, information about the security of  the NKR, and in case of such a situation, immediately inform the  special services. "By demonstrating high civic consciousness and  discipline, we will not only deprive the enemy of the opportunity to  launch hostile actions against the Armenians of Artsakh, but we will  also have a more protected and safe society," the Artsakh National  Security Council said in a statement.
